Beas Kund - Himachal Valley

Beas Kund is the lake from where river Beas originates. It is one of the incredible trekking points in Himachal Valley. Beas Kund, was lake where the celebrated author Vyas who wrote the great epic, Mahabharata used to take his bath.

Beas is derived from Rishi Vyas and Kund is a small lake in Hindi. The Beas Kund is located at the upper part of the Solang Valley of Manali, Himachal Pradesh.

It is the base camp for the treks including, Shitidhar, Friendship and Ladakhi Hanuman Tibba peak. The trek offers amazingly beautiful and panoramic views. There are lush green forests, snow covered mountains, and beautiful meadows.

The marvelous trekking trail and the altitude offer you breathtaking views of the outstanding Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges. The best time to take the trek is from middle of May to November. Since weather conditions during these months are favorable for trekking and snow will also not let you in any trouble plus the route will be clear.

The highest Point of Beas Kund is at 3690 mts and it offers jaw dropping scenic beauty. The nature grandeur of the trek is awesome and this is a moderate trek, so there will be only little challenges for you. Even if you are a first time trekker, you will find it a great experience.
